Cyborn has released a free DLC for Hubris, adding a new combat arena mode to the game. This update, now available on PlayStation Store and Steam, introduces players to a custom-built level designed for intense action. Set in an OOO-controlled territory, players will face rounds of Uron invaders in a never-before-seen environment, challenging them to shoot, jump, climb, and navigate through diverse enemy combinations.
The new game mode offers three difficulty tiers, allowing players to test their skills against escalating Uron threats. With the addition of weapon powers, upgrades, and grenades, players have new strategies at their disposal to tackle grouped enemies effectively.

Cyborn’s game design team emphasized the DLC’s focus on movement, climbing, and strategic positioning, aiming to provide a fresh gameplay experience that diverges from the main storyline’s path. The level is designed with multiple pathways, offering various strategies for players to explore.
Future expansions may include more maps, enemy types, and upgrade combinations, but the immediate focus is on refining this new mode based on player feedback. Alongside the DLC, Cyborn has updated the game to improve weapon mechanics, gameplay flow, and overall performance, including giving Steam users the option to choose between SteamVR and openXR standards.

Cyborn invites players to share their thoughts and feedback on the new mode via their Discord community. This DLC is part of Cyborn’s ongoing commitment to expand the Hubris narrative, with a CGI short film introducing key characters and backstory slated for release later this year.
