Astrea, along with the multi-award-winning animation studio Aardman and immersive storytelling experts Atlas V, have released official trailers for two new immersive experiences: the VR adventure “Wallace & Gromit in The Grand Getaway” and the mixed reality game “Jamtastic!”
“The Grand Getaway” marks Wallace & Gromit’s debut in virtual reality, offering a narrative-driven VR experience across twelve chapters. Players will engage in a variety of interactive scenarios, playing as different characters including Auto-Caddy, Gromit, and Wallace. The story begins with Wallace and Gromit preparing for a golfing getaway, leading to unexpected adventures on Mars due to a mishap with their Rocket.
“Jamtastic!” is a mixed reality game designed for the Meta Quest 3, where players test Wallace’s new ‘jam-to-toast delivery system’ in their living room. This game offers thirty levels of gameplay, combining elements of a shooting gallery with interactive and humorous challenges.
These experiences are a collaborative effort between Aardman, Atlas V, No Ghost, Albyon, and Reynard Films, supported by immersive distributor and publisher Astrea and the Meta Quest team. The trailers reveal the immersive worlds and creative gameplay that await fans of the iconic duo.
