Best Sci-Fi Games on Quest

Despite its cheap hooks and repetitive nature, Sairento VR : Untethered is an entrancing, physically active game without any clear alternative on the Quest.

If you enjoy tense, space-themed horror films like Event Horizon or Europa Report, Red Matter, although brief, is a must-have game for the Quest.

If Robo Recall: Unplugged is the standard set for Oculus Quest action games, the future of the platform looks bright and not at all apocalyptic.

Vader Immortal isn't necessarily the system-selling exclusive that the Quest needs, but it does offer a glimpse into the future of gaming, both in gameplay immersion and its storytelling.

If you don’t mind that this console and mobile port lacks physical immersion, Republique VR is well worth the price.

Virtual Virtual Reality is a mind-bending exploration of virtual technology. It combines light puzzles and gameplay with a compelling story and excellent writing.

Space Pirate Trainer is instant action with a barebones premise. You might be disappointed that all the value comes from similar modes without any story or personality.

This competent zombie shooter has climbing, shooting, and free-form exploration, but it falls short in terms of length and originality.

If you're a Doctor Who fan, this is pretty much a must-buy, despite its flaws, and definitely the Doctor's best videogame outing to date. If you're not a fan, it still has its charms - but you might be better playing the slicker and cleverer Red Matter first.

Although Homeworld: Vast Reaches does a wonderful job of demonstrating how satisfying a polished and well-thought-out RTS game could be in VR, an undercooked resource system, short campaign and lack of options mean that falls short of living up to that promise.
